What happens in Phuket, stays in Phuket!

Yes, it’s best that some of the stuff that happened there stays there!
Since a lot of us exchange students don’t really celebrate Chinese New Year, a bunch of us decided to fly down and stay there over the holidays. Five days of a lot of swimming, sunning, shopping, eating and a lot of other random stuff!
What I loved most about this trip was that it was pretty chilled out, we weren’t determined to “see” a lot of touristy things, instead we had a very laid back time, and spent most of it on a beach on Phi Phi island.
The relaxation that followed the massage that we got was absolutely amazing!
But not everything about Phuket was wonderful. Not having accommodation pre-booked can be exciting, but sometimes unwise. We had to spend the first night at this place called the gypsy village - in small bungalows with a bunch of squeaking roosters and goats (some good wildlife). The rooms themselves were pretty ok, but not really highly recommended.
Oh and I got REALLY burnt while in Phuket. Even big brown men like myself can get burnt, so lesson for next time: not to forget sunscreen!!!
aaaaaaand last but not least, the second last day I lost/forgot my camera on the beach or something, so as for now I have no pictures of the beaches or me wielding a burning stick (which I did do! I contributed to the fire show organized by some of the thai people for the tourists)…. I even managed to get some burn marks on my hand while wielding it. I shall upload pictures once I have managed to collect them from the others!
More to come!
Oh also, I’m starting this series of posts called “Talents in Singapore!” where I will be posting recordings/video shots of some very talented singers and other artists/coming up artists!
